Moving into freedom.
Juuust got the key from my landlord a few hours ago, and I’m currently in the process of moving my things over. And then the next couple days will include getting some furniture and food, so I won’t be able to start on art for a little bit, unfortunately…
It’s the most adorable little cottage ever! Will definitely post pictures when it’s all settled in. So excited! I mean, I’m getting my freedom and privacy back after so many years without it. I had a moment of silence and (happily) cried to myself this morning, sitting in this empty house of mine. It’s just so incredible that I almost don’t believe that this is my own home. I’m never going to have to deal with crazy roommates ever again. I can finally come back to my own home without things mysteriously moved around every day. This is my little sanctuary that I can retreat to and nobody can tell me otherwise. It’s been so long since I’ve had even my own room. Goodness! I can’t even describe how utterly excited and grateful I am. And because of this, my productivity will simply skyrocket, and I’ll be able to concentrate on my passion for art exponentially more.
Just posting an update, because there’s been a massive lack of art lately, and this is whyyy~ Hope everyone else is having a good weekend as well!
EDIT: For the sake of curiosity, I’m paying $400 per month, plus utilities (which are about $50). The house is like…200 square feet. It’s very tiny, but it’s a standalone cottage, so that means that the walls are separate from neighbors, whiiich means that I can play music loudly and nobody will hear! hawhawhaw

This is one of those bust sketches I’ve been doing lately, but colored! Commissioned by Panic from FA. I used a new coloring technique here, which will make coloring future things considerably faster!
something i learned today:
the ratio between the size of one digit of one of your fingers and the next digit of the same finger is roughly Φ, the golden ratio. Their lengths line up in an approximate way with sequential fibonacci numbers, because as the fibonacci sequence progresses the ratio between sequential numbers approaches Φ. i illustrated this in that image using an arbitrary unit of pixels and the grid in photoshop.
but the real cool part is that because of this, when you curl and uncurl your fingers, the path described by a fingertip is pretty close to a perfect golden spiral! what sweetly built machines we pilot over the earth
